21 Exotic Objects premiered at Sonorities Festival

’21 Exotic Objects’ for piano and electronic media was premiered by Xenia Pestova at the Sonorities Festival in Belfast this April. The work which was commissioned by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland is a series of miniatures each describing a different mysterious object, a kind of cabinet of curiosities for the ear where the listener has to use their imagination to figure out what each might be. The work received subsequent performances in Dublin and Navan with further performances planned for 2023. You can watch a film of the entire concert featuring the premiere here.
