‘Strangeness Untitled’ commissioned by the PRS Foundation for Kate Ellis

Ed has been working over the two years on a new project ‘Strangeness Untitled’  with cellist and artistic director of the Crash Ensemble Kate Ellis for a virtual cello octet, electronics and field recordings. This is a substantial work 50 minute work in which Ellis has recorded all eight parts, the idea being that eventually it can be performed with a live octet or in a multi-channel, spatialised version with soloist. The work will be released as a full length album in the new year with live performances in London, Dublin and Belfast. The work has been commissioned with generous support from the PRSF Open Fund and ACNI Artists Emergency Fund. Details of the premiere will be revealed soon.
